SBIR Opportunity Analysis

The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is seeking innovative defense-related dual-purpose manufacturing technologies and solutions through its Direct-to-Phase-II SBIR program, specifically targeting applications that meet the needs of the United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Space Force (USSF). Proposals must demonstrate a mature non-defense technical solution that aligns with one or more of the six focus areas: engine production with advanced manufacturing, advanced composite structures, semiconductor production innovations, radiation-tolerant electronics, system integration and interoperability, and affordable energetics. This initiative aims to explore manufacturing solutions applicable to both defense and non-defense markets, with a focus on scaling capabilities and enhancing the industrial base for defense. Interested applicants must submit their proposals by July 9, 2025, and are required to include a Government Engagement Memorandum from a valid DAF customer to validate their application.
