The Department of Defense (DOD) is seeking proposals for the topic "Securing AI/ML Models Against Adversarial Threats for Advanced Command and Control (AC2) Missions" as part of the SBIR Phase II program. The objective of this research is to develop effective methods for safeguarding AI/ML models from malicious threats, such as adversarial examples, data poisoning, and model extraction attacks. The research aims to propose innovative defense mechanisms to mitigate the impact of these attacks and improve the security and resilience of AI/ML models. The technology is restricted under export control laws, and foreign nationals' involvement may be limited. The project duration is not specified, but it includes Phase II and potential Phase III efforts. The Phase II proposals should include the development, installation, integration, demonstration, and evaluation of the proposed solution prototype system. The ultimate goal is to increase the reliability and trustworthiness of AI/ML models for real-world applications in the Air Force's core operational mission.
