Adaptive AI-Driven Waveform Design
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Defense, through the Army Small Business Innovation Research program, is seeking proposals to develop an artificial intelligence and machine learning-controlled radar waveform generator. Awardees must design a system that dynamically adjusts frequency, modulation, and coding in real time to optimize radar performance and evade advanced jamming, digital radio frequency memory systems, and radio frequency interference. Work requires leveraging deep reinforcement learning to train neural models that can execute within microseconds, requiring optimization for edge-computing architectures with strict size, weight, and power constraints. The project is restricted under ITAR and Export Administration Regulations, requires a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 Self-Assessment, and transitions from a Phase I simulated software proof-of-concept to a Phase II physical hardware prototype. Interested parties must submit their applications by August 19, 2026, under solicitation number 26.BZ.
