Ground-Based Affordable Mass (G-BAM)
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of War is seeking a ground-based, non-hypersonic, long-range precision payload delivery system under the Ground-Based Affordable Mass project to counter peer adversaries. Selected contractors must deliver prototype solutions that achieve a flyaway unit cost under $2 million, support production of at least 500 units annually, exceed a ground-launched range of 300 nautical miles, and integrate seamlessly with existing Army transport and targeting systems. This Direct-to-Phase II SBIR opportunity is restricted exclusively to small businesses selected as winners of the corresponding Defense Innovation Unit Ground-Based Affordable Mass Challenge. Eligible awardees will receive up to $2,000,000 for an 18-to-24-month period of performance to develop and test prototypes in realistic field environments.
