Asymmetric Collaborative Counter Swarm
STTR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Army is seeking Phase I STTR proposals to develop and integrate decentralized, distributed Artificial Intelligence software to command and control friendly Group 1 or Group 2 Unmanned Aerial System swarms. The core objective is to defend designated areas against numerically superior enemy drone swarms by enabling decentralized, collaborative targeting in 1-to-N engagement scenarios. The software must run on individual UAS platforms under strict Size, Weight, Power, and Cost constraints, with a total compute payload under two pounds, and must maintain operation via passive collaboration when communications are degraded or denied. Interested parties must submit their proposals by August 19, 2026, for a Phase I award valued up to $300,000 with a performance period lasting between one and six months.
