Open Topic for Historical Radiation Data Analysis for Enhanced Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Modeling and Prediction
STTR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Defense Missile Defense Agency is seeking proposals under the STTR program for historical radiation data analysis to enhance Ballistic Missile Defense System modeling and prediction. Awardees will conduct rigorous statistical analysis of long-term radiation trends using historical, open-source data to reduce or justify the need for costly radiation testing on microelectronics and space systems. The work requires trend identification, correlation studies on performance degradation, predictive modeling utilizing machine learning, and uncertainty quantification. This open topic spans Phase I and Phase II developments, and proposals must be executable without any data provided by the Missile Defense Agency. Applications are due by August 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
