Terminal Defense Weapon System Coordinator

The DON26BZ03-NV064 project seeks to develop a Terminal Defense System Weapon System Coordinator (TDSWC) to decouple weapon system upgrades from ship combat system updates, enabling faster deployment within two months. This contrasts with the current multi-year development and fielding process. The TDSWC will manage terminal defense weapon system engagements using Artificial Intelligence (AI) heuristics and machine learning. The development must utilize Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) for requirements, architecture, and testing, including a code generator for a RED HAT LINUX platform. The solution requires cyber-secure interfaces and a combat system interface. The project is restricted under ITAR/EAR, and contractors must be U.S. owned and operated with the ability to acquire and maintain a secret-level facility and clearances. Phase I involves concept development and feasibility demonstration, while Phase II focuses on prototype development and integration into a Navy simulation testbed. Phase III aims to transition the TDSWC model to a Navy warfare center for future development and maintenance, with dual-use applications for various computing platforms.
