US Based Fixture Development and Manufacturing
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
DLA is seeking an SBIR solution to establish a U.S.-based rapid-response manufacturing capability for custom and replacement fixtures that can reduce Navy shipyard maintenance delays and keep ships returning to the fleet faster. The work centers on secure handling of government technical data, reverse-engineering a problem fixture when original data may be missing, producing a digital model, fabricating and delivering a functional prototype, and documenting the end-to-end process, with Phase II intended to mature the capability for integration into the DLA/Navy supply chain. The effort is restricted under ITAR/EAR and Phase I is limited to 12 months and $100,000, while later phases emphasize speed, cost, repeatability, and qualification testing for multiple fixture types. Applications are due June 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM UTC through the DoD SBIR/STTR topics portal for solicitation DLA26BZ02-NV008.
