Integrated Multicomponent Module for Quantum Sensors

The Department of Defense, through the Office of the Secretary of Defense, is seeking quantum sensing capabilities that are Size, Weight, and Power compatible with a broad range of vehicles and platforms under SBIR solicitation 26.BZ. Performers must design and develop one or more working multicomponent prototypes of a commercially viable, integrated quantum-sensor-related module utilizing mature components at Technology Readiness Level 4 to 5. Proposed solutions can leverage technologies like photonic integrated circuits, microcells, and solid-state technologies to mitigate risk, minimize performance losses, and establish a clear path toward volume commercial manufacturing. The Department is accepting both Phase I and Direct to Phase II proposals for this topic, with applications due by August 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
