DIRECT TO PHASE II: Non-tactical Replacement of AN/UYK-43 in a Laboratory Environment
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The Navy, through the DoD SBIR program, is seeking a direct-to-Phase II solution to replace the obsolete AN/UYK-43 computer system so Aegis computer programs can continue to be tested in a land-based environment. The work calls for a non-tactical emulator that is binary compatible, supports compatible input/output, and can run 32-bit CMS-2Y tactical code on COTS hardware and a common operating system. The prototype must match UYK-43 performance closely, including input/output latency and throughput, memory and storage capacity, and instruction timing, and it will be evaluated in a Navy land-based test facility and an existing Government-approved modeling and simulation environment. The solicitation is DON26BZ02-DV052, with proposals due June 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM UTC, and selected contractors must be U.S. owned and operated and able to obtain and maintain secret-level facility and personnel clearances.
