IRONWALKER

The IRONWALKER project seeks innovative, deployable manufacturing systems integrating AI and AR to enhance advanced additive and subtractive machining. The objective is to provide operators with AI-driven expertise and AR-based work instructions for training, certification, and guidance in producing air, ground, and maritime components. The system must be user-friendly, rapidly deployable, and require minimal training while maintaining precision. Key attributes include real-time adaptive AI guidance, interactive AR work instructions, compatibility with various machining processes and materials, robust deployment and sustainment features, and secure cybersecurity and data management. Phase I requires a feasibility study to assess optimal solutions, leading to Phase II's development of a functional prototype. Phase III identifies dual-use applications in military operations and commercial sectors like aerospace, maritime, and disaster recovery, enabling manufacturing in remote or resource-limited environments and integrating with autonomous robotic platforms.
