Predictive Movement for Object Oriented Tracking

The DON26BZ03-NV061 project seeks to develop an AI-driven system for the Maritime Targeting Cell (MTC) to automate object tracking, prioritization, and predictive forecasting for various maritime vessels and underwater objects. Current manual methods are overwhelmed by data from diverse sensors, leading to inefficiencies and overlooked threats. The Navy requires a scalable solution to enhance situational awareness and accelerate decision-making, as off-the-shelf software is insufficient. The proposed AI solution must incorporate AI-powered tracking algorithms, automated prioritization, predictive forecasting with change detection, hierarchical target management, enhanced scalability, and improved response time. Performance will be evaluated based on accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, processing time, and false positive/negative rates. Phase I focuses on concept development and feasibility demonstration through modeling, while Phase II involves prototype development and rigorous testing. Phase III will support the technology's transition to Navy use and explore dual-use applications in sectors like law enforcement, marine wildlife protection, and supply chain management. This project is subject to ITAR and requires U.S. ownership and operation with secret-level facility and personnel security clearances.
