xTech|Kinetic Reach Competition
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Army, in partnership with U.S. Army Europe and Africa and the Global Tactical Edge Acquisition Directorate, is seeking innovative force sustainment technologies through the xTech Kinetic Reach competition. Participating small businesses must propose capabilities across six specific topics, including uncrewed ground and aerial payload transportation, autonomous container handling, future power generation, autonomous forward arming and refueling points, and automated ground recovery systems. The initiative focuses on validating autonomous or minimally manned technologies under operationally realistic conditions during a live Soldier exercise to support dispersed formations in contested, GPS-degraded environments. Up to 15 finalists will be selected to participate in the November 2026 exercise, with final winners receiving cash prizes from a $1,500,000 pool and qualifying small businesses gaining the opportunity to submit a Direct to Phase II SBIR proposal worth up to $2,000,000.
