Universal Submersible Logistics Deployment and Stowage Package
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Navy is seeking SBIR proposals for the Universal Submersible Logistics Deployment and Stowage Package, a low-cost, long-duration seabed logistics delivery and stowage system. The work calls for a secure, environmentally protected, tamper-resistant system that can carry and store supplies, equipment, and materials on the seafloor, operate in a cylindrical 19-inch-by-51-inch package under 1,000 pounds dry weight, and support retrieval and scuttle functions. Key requirements include pressure tolerance from 300 to 600 meters, endurance on the seabed for at least 12 months and ideally 24 months, low-power acoustic communications, and operation in harsh underwater conditions with minimal dependence on surface support or specialized recovery vehicles. Proposals are due June 24, 2026, and selected contractors must be U.S. owned and operated and able to obtain and maintain secret-level facility and personnel clearances for potential classified follow-on work.
