Advanced Stand-Off Detection of Concealed Materials (ASDCM)
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Defense, through the United States Special Operations Command, is seeking proposals under SBIR topic SOC26BZ04-DV004 for the Advanced Stand-Off Detection of Concealed Materials. Proposers must design a passive, non-emitting, and non-contact sensor capability to detect, identify, and triangulate concealed, high-risk materials without requiring line-of-sight or physical access. This Direct to Phase II solicitation requires a Phase I feasibility study at Technology Readiness Level 3 followed by Phase II prototype development, ruggedization, and testing in Special Operations Forces scenarios. Key technical constraints include the ability to operate in GPS-denied, low-light, and high-interference tactical environments, and the contract requires Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 Self-assessment and compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations. Proposals must be submitted via the DOD SBIR/STTR topics portal between the opening date of July 22, 2026, and the closing deadline of August 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
