Homeland Convoy Counter Drone Operations
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Air Force under the DoD SBIR program is seeking a direct-to-Phase II counter-drone capability for military convoys operating in non-permissive homeland environments. The effort calls for a system that can detect, track, and disrupt UAS that are following or on a collision course with convoy vehicles, using electronic warfare or other non-kinetic methods and low-collateral kinetic options as a last resort. The solution must support intuitive human teaming, be SOSA compliant, integrate with the Medusa GRA architecture, and address sensors, trajectory determination, defeat mechanisms, and a prototype vehicle or add-on configuration for convoy speeds up to 70 mph. Proposers must already have a workable prototype concept from prior work because Phase I-style proposals are nonresponsive, and the topic is open from May 6, 2026 with applications due June 3, 2026 under solicitation DAF26BZ01-DV001 / 26.BZ.
