NAVAIR & NAVSEA Open Topic for Counter Unmanned Air Systems (C-UAS)
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Navy is seeking Small Business Innovation Research proposals to enhance existing prototypes and concepts for Counter Unmanned Air Systems. Proponents must develop scalable solutions to detect, track, identify, and neutralize single and swarm unmanned aerial threats in complex operational environments. Key technology areas of interest include artificial intelligence-powered target recognition, machine learning-enhanced swarm tracking, non-kinetic or low-kinetic defeat systems, and countermeasures for adaptive signature management. This project is restricted under ITAR and EAR regulations and features a Phase I base period of performance alongside optional extended periods. Proposals must be submitted through the Department of Defense SBIR portal by the application deadline of July 22, 2026.
