Fusion of Abstract Learning and Context-Optimized Neural-methods (FALCON)
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is seeking Direct to Phase II proposals under the Small Business Innovation Research program to fuse advanced machine learning methods with large language models for the Fusion of Abstract Learning and Context-Optimized Neural-methods program. Selected contractors must develop an architecture that combines computationally efficient machine learning with large language models to enable interactive, hallucination-mitigated statistical analysis of large-scale, structured and unstructured datasets. To bypass Phase I, proposers must prove technical feasibility from prior research within the last three years, and the resulting Phase II system must scale to enterprise-level data across at least two distinct datasets while meeting Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 requirements. The period of performance consists of a twelve-month base period and a six-month option period, with proposals due by August 19, 2026.
