Optimizing Satellite Imagery across Commercial Vendors
SBIR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Navy, under the SBIR program, is seeking a software application to optimize commercial satellite imagery acquisition to support maritime domain awareness and intelligence gathering. The selected contractor must develop a hub-and-spoke scheduling service that integrates with multiple commercial satellite vendors via native APIs to forecast collection opportunities while optimizing resolution, acquisition speed, and cost. Technical requirements include seamless multi-vendor integration, dynamic adaptation to real-time weather models, prioritization of time-critical requirements, and robust data security. Because Phase II work may become classified, prospective contractors must be U.S. owned and operated, with the ability to acquire and maintain a secret level facility and Personnel Security Clearances. Proposals must be submitted by the close date of July 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
