Multi Fuel Platoon Power Generator

The Department of Defense, specifically the Army, is seeking proposals for the development of a Multi Fuel Platoon Power Generator (PPG) through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The objective is to create a power generation system capable of producing over 1.5 kW of continuous output while minimizing weight and maximizing operational efficiency, allowing platoons to operate semi-independently during Large Scale Combat Operations. This initiative aims to reduce logistical burdens associated with power and battery resupply by enabling rapid charging of platoon batteries using various fuel sources, including military-approved fuels and alternative options. Interested parties can submit Phase I proposals for up to $250,000, with a performance period of six months, and must adhere to the application deadline of July 23, 2025.
