Multiconstrained Real -Time Interceptor Guidance Algorithm for Maneuvering Targets

The Department of Defense, through the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), is seeking innovative solutions for a Multiconstrained Real-Time Interceptor Guidance Algorithm aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of hypersonic interceptors against maneuvering targets. The objective is to develop a novel trajectory optimization algorithm that can operate in real-time, improving hit-to-kill probability by optimizing kinetic energy use and fuel efficiency while addressing complex dynamics and uncertainties in the threat environment. This initiative is critical for advancing missile defense capabilities in a modern threat landscape, with the project structured in phases: Phase I focuses on feasibility against ballistic threats, while Phase II aims to demonstrate effectiveness against highly maneuverable targets.
