Domestic Sourcing of Gallium for various Military Applications

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking proposals for the domestic sourcing of gallium metal and oxide for various military applications through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The objective is to enhance domestic capabilities and supply chain resiliency for gallium production, with a preference for novel techniques that can be modular and scalable. This initiative is crucial for ensuring a reliable supply of critical materials used in gallium-based devices for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other stakeholders. Proposals for Phase I are limited to a duration of 12 months and a budget of $100,000, while Phase II can extend to 18 months with a budget of $1,000,000.
