The Bureau of Health Workforce's Notice of Funding Opportunity (HRSA 26-011) announces a continuation grant for the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) Program. This opportunity, due October 20, 2025, provides multi-year funding (July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029) to existing HRSA THCGME Program payment recipients (funded under HRSA-22-105 and HRSA-22-139) to support filled resident Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) positions. The program aims to increase primary care medical and dental residents trained in community-based settings, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Awards range from $160,000 to $3,840,000, with an anticipated FY 2026 payment rate of $160,000 per resident FTE. Eligibility requires current recipients to operate accredited primary care residency programs in specified specialties. The application process involves SAM.gov and Grants.gov registration, and submission of specific attachments, including accreditation documentation, an organizational chart, and an Eligible Resident/Fellow FTE Chart. Applications must not request funding for program development or expanded FTE positions. Post-award, recipients must adhere to reporting requirements, including annual reconciliation of resident FTEs, to avoid recoupment of funds.
