Region 5 Fiscal Year 2025 Wetland Program Development Grants
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs) for Fiscal Year 2025 to assist state, Tribal, territory, and local government agencies, as well as interstate or intertribal entities, in developing or refining programs aimed at wetland protection and restoration. The grants are designed to enhance the capacity of these entities to conserve and restore wetland acreage while improving wetland conditions, with a focus on increasing both the quantity and quality of wetlands across the United States. Eligible applicants include Indian Tribes, state and local governments, and institutions of higher education within EPA Region 5, which encompasses Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The total estimated funding for this program is $2,962,000, with individual awards ranging up to $500,000, and applications are due by April 6, 2026.
