Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Energy's Golden Field Office is preparing to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) titled "Tribal Clean Energy Planning and Development – 2025," aimed at supporting Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Regional and Village Corporations, Intertribal Organizations, and Tribal Energy Development Organizations. The FOA will solicit applications for projects focused on tribal clean energy planning, feasibility assessments for clean energy technology deployment, and the design and development of clean energy projects on Tribal Buildings or Lands. With an anticipated funding pool of approximately $25 million, individual awards will range from $100,000 to $2,500,000, and projects are expected to have a performance period of two to three years. Interested applicants should prepare by registering with IE-Exchange, obtaining a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) through SAM.gov, and registering in FedConnect, as the FOA is expected to be released in late Spring 2024.
