The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is offering the Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Grant Program, which provides $500 million in funding to enhance state and local capabilities for detecting, identifying, tracking, and monitoring unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). This grant program aims to support state, local, tribal, and territorial governments in addressing the threats posed by unlawful UAS usage, particularly in relation to public safety and critical infrastructure. For Fiscal Year 2026, $250 million is prioritized for 11 states and the National Capital Region hosting significant events, while the remaining funds will be allocated in Fiscal Year 2027 to all states and territories to bolster national detection and response capabilities.
