NATO Business Opportunity: Provision of Alternate, Contingency and Emergency (ACE) Transmission Means and Automatic Switching

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) has issued a procurement opportunity for the provision of Alternate, Contingency and Emergency (ACE) Transmission Means and Automatic Switching for Special Operations Forces (SOF) Deployable Points of Presence (DPoPs). This project aims to enhance communication resilience for SOF by providing NATO-owned equipment for ACE communication modes and a switching system to ensure Command and Control (C2) survivability. The procurement includes satellite terminals for the Alternate mode, terrestrial equipment for the Contingency mode (High-Capacity Line of Sight and Medium Capacity Beyond Line of Sight), and netted push-to-talk handheld satellite terminals for the Emergency mode. An automatic switching solution will integrate Primary, Alternate, and Contingency bearers. The estimated value is a 100,000,000 Euro Indefinite Duration Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Framework Contract over five years, with an initial Task Order of 27,601,766 Euro. Participation is restricted to vendors from participating nations, and access to solicitation documents requires a Declaration of Eligibility from national authorities. A pre-bid conference will be held in Brussels.
