INDUSTRY DAY: WPC Work Platforms

The Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), CG Yard will host an Industry Day on January 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET in Baltimore, MD. This special notice, not a solicitation, aims to engage with industry regarding the USCG’s needs for a system of work platforms to facilitate exterior hull preservation on the 154’ WPC Fast Response Cutter. The event will include briefings on requirements, challenges, goals, and site tours, followed by one-on-one sessions with vendors. The Coast Guard is seeking information through an RFI for the design, construction, and delivery of semi-permanent work platforms at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, MD. These platforms, classified under N054, 332311, and 238990 NAICS codes, will facilitate blasting, painting, and welding on vessels up to 154 feet in two warehouse bays. The platforms must be movable by industrial equipment, follow the vessel's hull form, be no less than 12 inches and no more than 2 feet away from the hull, and range from 18 to 36 feet high. They need perforated or slated openings for debris, flame-retardant materials, and must accommodate 12-14 personnel. The platforms must be semi-permanent, set on an existing concrete base without permanent anchoring, and conform to OSHA regulations.
