DoW Vision, Translational Research Award
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Dept. of the Army’s USAMRAA is funding the FY26 Vision Research Program Translational Research Award to support translational research that moves promising discoveries toward new drugs, devices, or clinical practice guidelines ready for definitive clinical testing. The award may support preclinical studies, clinical research, or a pilot clinical trial, but not a full-scale clinical trial, and projects must align with at least one FY26 VRP focus area. If a project is developing a new drug or device, the research team must include regulatory approval expertise, and the program allows a Partnering Principal Investigator option for two-Pi teams. The mechanism offers up to $1.6 million over three years, with review emphasizing research idea, strategy and feasibility, impact, personnel, post-award transition planning, and relevance to military health. For this opportunity, the preproposal is due July 28, 2026 and the application is due November 12, 2026, with questions directed to the eBRAP Help Desk at help@eBRAP.org or 301-682-5507.
