Behavioral Health Mobile Crisis Team Partnerships

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is offering the Behavioral Health Mobile Crisis Team Partnerships grant to establish new or enhance existing mobile crisis teams that serve individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises. Awardees must focus on expanding behavioral health crisis response capacity and developing structured partnerships that reduce reliance on law enforcement and emergency departments. Eligible applicants are statutorily limited to states, political subdivisions of states, territories, Indian tribes, and tribal organizations. The agency expects to make approximately 20 awards under this cooperative agreement, which requires no cost-sharing or matching. Applications are due by July 15, 2026, with an award ceiling of $750,000 per award from an estimated total program funding of $15,273,702.
