Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH)
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Health Resources and Services Administration is seeking applications for the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health program to expand access to high-quality, team-based health care for adolescents and young adults. Awardees will establish graduate training programs to train health care professionals capable of addressing chronic disease prevention in this target population. Eligible applicants are limited to domestic non-profit private institutions of higher education, which includes teaching hospitals with formal affiliations with accredited schools of medicine. The agency expects to make approximately nine awards ranging from $400,000 to $459,370 each, with projects anticipated to start on July 1, 2027. Eligible Applicants
Domestic* non-profit private institutions of higher education are eligible to apply. *"Domestic" means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. For purposes of this funding opportunity, an "institution of higher education/learning" is defined as any college or university accredited by a regionalized body or bodies approved for such purpose by the Secretary of Education, and any teaching hospital which has higher education among its purposes and functions and which has a formal affiliation with an accredited school of medicine and a full-time academic medical staff holding faculty status in such school of medicine.Individuals are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.
