Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 AmeriCorps State and National Native Nations Grants

AmeriCorps' Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 State and National Native Nation Grants Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites Indian Tribes and tribal organizations to apply for funding to engage AmeriCorps members in community service. The program aims to strengthen communities and foster civic engagement, prioritizing areas such as civic engagement/social cohesion, youth mental health, education (especially for Indigenous students), traditional Native language and cultural preservation, sustainable food systems, economic opportunity, and healthy futures (including services for veterans and addressing MMIP). Applications are due by May 20, 2026, with awards issued by the end of July 2026. Grants are for a three-year period, with an initial one-year award. Match requirements are waived for this opportunity, and match replacement funds are available for severely economically distressed communities. Eligible applicants must meet specific criteria, including SAM registration. Applications will be reviewed based on program design, organizational capability, cost-effectiveness, and budget adequacy.
