Curriculum Development: Western Civilization
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The National Endowment for the Humanities is offering a discretionary grant program to strengthen the teaching and study of the humanities at institutions of higher education through curriculum development focused on Western civilization, American history, American government and civics, and/or the Great Books tradition. The program supports formal education projects that develop or improve humanities curricula for eligible accredited public or nonprofit institutions of higher education, with no cost sharing required. Applications are due June 25, 2026, with awards ranging from $1 to $750,000 and an estimated 10 awards available, and questions may be directed to learning@neh.gov.
