Grant Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking FY 2026 proposals under the Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act to support restoration, research, and regional conservation of fish and wildlife resources in the Great Lakes Basin. The opportunity covers Regional Projects as well as restoration and research proposals aimed at habitat restoration, barrier removal, and other activities that benefit Great Lakes species and habitats. Regional Projects must affect multiple states or tribes, identify a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service staff proposal manager, and follow formatting and content requirements including a 13-page body, separate Excel budget sheets, and required supporting documentation from affected state or tribal leaders.
