Improving regional capacity to respond to HIV, TB, and other global health priorities in Central America

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Global Health Center is offering a cooperative agreement opportunity to improve regional capacity to respond to HIV, tuberculosis, and other global health priorities in Central America. Recipients will perform work to advance progress toward 95-95-95 targets, transition site-level support to local governments, and address gaps in HIV prevention, diagnosis, and life-saving treatment. The scope of work targets El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama, with an emphasis on key populations, active case-finding strategies, integrated comprehensive care, and strengthening local health data systems. Applications must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on August 31, 2026, to compete for two expected awards funded at an estimated total of $20,000,000 for Year 1, with inquiries directed to pepfarfoas@cdc.gov.
