The U.S. Mission to Gabon is offering a federal grant titled "Raise the profile of the consequences of environmental crime in Gabon," aimed at increasing public awareness about the detrimental effects of illegal fishing and logging in the region. The grant seeks to engage the community of Libreville and Gabon as a whole, encouraging behavior change, community engagement, and advocacy for stronger regulations against these illegal activities. With an estimated total program funding of $493,250 and a single award anticipated, eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, educational institutions, for-profit organizations, and public international organizations. Interested parties should submit their proposals by August 1, 2024, and can direct inquiries to Courtney Thomas at ThomasCA3@state.gov.
