Grant Opportunity Analysis
The USDA Rural Utilities Service is offering the Revolving Funds for Financing Water and Wastewater Projects Grant Program to help eligible private nonprofit entities capitalize revolving loan funds for water and wastewater project financing. The funds are intended to cover predevelopment costs and small capital projects for rural water and wastewater systems, including replacement equipment, small-scale service extensions, operational efficiencies, system hardening, and water reuse technologies. Applicants must be eligible private nonprofit entities with an active SAM.gov registration and a UEI, and the program requires a 20 percent cost share or match. Approximately $1,000,000 is available for Fiscal Year 2026, with applications submitted electronically through grants.gov from June 1, 2026, until July 3, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
