Specialty Crop Multi-State Grant Program 2026
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service is seeking FY 2026 Specialty Crop Multi-State Grant Program applications to fund collaborative multi-state projects that improve the competitiveness of specialty crops. Projects should address regional or national issues such as food safety, plant pests and diseases, research, crop-specific challenges, and marketing or promotion, with measurable outcomes that benefit two or more states or territories and nonprofit partners. A 25% non-federal cost share is required, and the program places emphasis on partnerships and compliance with the required application contents and format; state departments of agriculture and entities in non-participating states may apply directly to AMS. The program provides about $14.3 million in total funding, with awards from $250,000 to $1,000,000, and applications are due electronically by October 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, with an August 31, 2026 deadline for multi-state partners to participating states; questions may be sent to sagpgrants@usda.gov.
