Predictive Analytics in Child Welfare Demonstration Grants

The Administration for Children and Families’ Children’s Bureau is funding Predictive Analytics in Child Welfare Demonstration Grants to support responsible use of predictive analytics in child welfare. The cooperative agreement will fund state, territorial, or tribal child welfare agencies to design, implement, test, and evaluate predictive analytics strategies that strengthen decision-making, build agency capacity, and promote collaboration and ethical use. The program provides demonstration-site support with substantial federal involvement and will be evaluated on objectives, approach, evaluation plan, organizational capacity, budget, and alignment with ACF priorities, with bonus points for participation in the A Home for Every Child initiative. Applications require SAM.gov and Grants.gov registration and are due July 13, 2026; the opportunity includes $6,000,000 in total funding, with ten awards ranging from $400,000 to $600,000.
Eligible Applicants
Eligibility is limited to state, territorial, or tribal child welfare agencies. Public child welfare agencies can achieve the greatest impact from predictive analytics in supporting families and protecting children by enhancing decision-making. Limiting competition to these agencies maximizes this impact and aligns with: • Executive Order 13930: "Strengthening the Child Welfare System for America's Children" • Executive Order 13960: "Promoting the Use of Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence in the Federal Government" • Executive Order 14359: "Fostering the Future Applications from individuals (including sole proprietorships) and foreign entities are not eligible and will be disqualified from the merit review and funding under this funding opportunity.
