Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, through the U.S. Mission to the Dominican Republic, is seeking a grant to support EnglishxSTEM, a public diplomacy initiative to strengthen technical English capacity and U.S.-Dominican collaboration in strategic STEM and innovation sectors. The award will support the design and implementation of at least five English for Specific Purposes programs that serve Dominican students, faculty, and professionals in fields such as semiconductors, AI, cybersecurity, biotechnology, energy, and research. The project is expected to run over three years, use hybrid and interactive instruction aligned with U.S. technical and workplace standards, and include some U.S.-based professional exchange or faculty training component while coordinating with Dominican institutions and private-sector partners. The grant offers up to $100,000 for one award, with proposals due July 1, 2026, and eligible applicants limited to not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions.
