DoW Peer Reviewed Medical, Technology/Therapeutic Development Award
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Army’s USAMRAA is offering the FY26 Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program Technology/Therapeutic Development Award, a discretionary federal grant program intended to translate promising preclinical findings into products for clinical use. The award supports development of drugs, devices, tools, or other knowledge products that address FY26 PRMRP topic areas and strategic goals and have relevance to the health care needs of military Service Members, Veterans, and their Families. Proposed work is expected to move an established proof-of-concept or prototype through the final stages of preclinical development and toward regulatory filing or adoption in clinical practice; clinical trials are not permitted, although non-interventional clinical research studies are allowed. The opportunity anticipates about $67.2 million across roughly 12 awards, with a maximum of $5.6 million per award over four years, and applications are due in two steps with a pre-application by July 23, 2026 and a full application by August 6, 2026.
