The Bureau of Justice Assistance is offering a discretionary federal grant through the BJA FY25 Adult Treatment Court Program to support the implementation and enhancement of Adult Treatment Court operations. The program funds courts that integrate substance use disorder treatment, mandatory drug testing, incentives and sanctions, and transitional services in a judicially supervised criminal court setting for people with substance use disorders. The goal is to reduce recidivism and overdose fatalities while increasing access to treatment and recovery support that promotes long-term recovery, and applicants must meet cost-sharing requirements. Eligible applicants include other units of local government for Categories 1 and 2 and state agencies for Category 3, with awards up to $2,500,000 and applications due April 27, 2026.
