Funding to Support Ongoing Administration of Certain Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act Programs – Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation

The Employment and Training Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor is providing grant funding to help states cover the ongoing administrative costs of the CARES Act Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation program. The work supports continued unemployment insurance administration, including fraud control, account reconciliation, overpayment recovery, data retention, reporting, and audit-related activities tied to remaining CARES Act unemployment insurance programs. Funding is intended for State Workforce Agencies in the states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, with no matching requirement, and the award amount is subject to a 5.7% sequestration reduction. Applications must be submitted through Grants.gov, with supporting materials also sent to eta-ui-inquiries@dol.gov by the stated deadline, and recipients must provide quarterly financial and progress reports.
