Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Service Area Competition (SAC)

The Health Resources and Services Administration is accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2027 Health Center Program Service Area Competition. Successful awardees will deliver comprehensive, high-quality preventive and primary health care services to medically underserved communities and populations across the United States and its territories. Funding is designated for specific geographic service areas identified in the Service Area Announcement Table, with projects expected to start on January 1, 2027. The agency estimates making approximately 85 discretionary grant awards from a total program funding pool of $470,428,300, with individual award amounts ranging from $1,216,000 to $19,182,000. Applications must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on September 4, 2026, and inquiries can be directed to bphcfunding@hrsa.gov.
