The opportunity supports either general AEIF grants for practical, results-oriented initiatives or the AEIF Borneo Alumni Reunion 2026, a tri-national summit connecting alumni across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei. Successful proposals must celebrate Freedom250 and align with Administration goals, with projects focused on areas such as maritime security, the digital economy, cross-border trade, counter-transnational crime, and countering malign influence; cost sharing is not required, and U.S. Embassy involvement is expected.
