Tribal Behavioral Health Substance Use Prevention
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is accepting applications for the Tribal Behavioral Health Substance Use Prevention grant program. Funded organizations must implement evidence-based and locally tailored strategies to prevent and reduce substance use and overdose among American Indian and Alaska Native youth and young adults through age 24. Recipient organizations will satisfy these goals by building community-driven prevention systems, services, and partnerships. Eligibility is restricted to federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribes, tribal organizations, Urban Indian Organizations, and consortia of tribes or tribal organizations. Applications must be submitted by July 13, 2026, for awards of up to $350,000 each out of an estimated total program budget of $9,000,000.
Eligible Applicants
Eligibility is limited to federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native tribes, tribal organizations, Urban Indian Organizations, and consortia of tribes or tribal organizations.
