Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Embassy in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, through the U.S. Mission to Burkina Faso, is offering Public Diplomacy grant funding to strengthen U.S.-Burkina Faso relations. The program supports innovative projects that promote economic growth, enhance security cooperation, highlight American innovation and values, and advance shared interests in areas such as bilateral security ties, public health resilience, U.S. commercial presence, and English language or entrepreneurship education. Proposals should align with U.S. foreign policy goals, deliver measurable and sustainable results, and reflect practical, cost-effective approaches, with the Embassy expected to have substantial involvement in selected projects. The award range is $1,000 to $25,000, with about $60,000 anticipated for five awards, and applications are due July 3, 2026; applicants must also meet submission and registration requirements including a UEI and SAM.gov registration.
Eligible Applicants
The following organizations are eligible to apply:• Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations;• Public and private educational institutions;• Individuals;• Public International Organizations and Governmental institutions.For-profit entities, even those that may fall into the categories listed above, are not eligible to apply for this Notice of Funding Opportunity. Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, non-profit, non-governmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
