The National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases are seeking applications to establish Multi-Purpose Resource-Related, Multi-Component Research Services Centers. Funded centers will offer highly specialized cores that provide hands-on technical services, consulting, research or data coordination, and other support services provided by nationally recognized experts. To increase rigor and cost efficiencies, these services must be largely provided to external clients at other institutions where the necessary expertise is unavailable, focusing on areas within the NIDDK mission such as integrative physiology, metabolic phenotyping, nutrition, obesity, and diabetes. Centers must also offer experiential training in at least one of their provided services and may optionally propose a pilot and feasibility grant program. The agency expects to award approximately $9,000,000 across an estimated seven awards, with applications submitted to the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases by the estimated close date of January 28, 2027.
