The NIA Genetics of Alzheimer's Disease Data Storage Site (NIAGADS)

The National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health, plans a Cooperative Agreement to support the Genetics of Alzheimer’s Disease Data Storage Site (NIAGADS), a cloud-based platform for storing and computing on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias genetic and genomic data. The work will develop, operate, and sustain a secure, scalable, interoperable repository that can ingest, curate, harmonize, and analyze large multi-ancestry datasets while providing visualization, AI-ready resources, user support, training, and community engagement. The platform is intended to comply with federal security and data-sharing policies and to promote interoperability with other NIH- and NIA-supported repositories in support of broader research accessibility and reproducibility goals. Applications are not being solicited at this time; the notice is provided to allow time for collaboration and project development, with the synopsis currently estimated for September 2026 and a contact email listed for questions.
