OVW Fiscal Year 2026 STOP Formula Grant Program
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Office on Violence Against Women is funding the FY 2026 STOP Formula Grant Program to support state and territorial efforts to improve apprehension, prosecution, and adjudication of violent crimes against women and to strengthen victim safety and protection. The grant funds work by state, local, and Indian Tribal governments, courts, and victim service providers, with states and territories serving as the eligible applicants through the designated state office. The program requires cost sharing and is limited to the states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Applications are due July 10, 2026, with total program funding estimated at $173.3 million, an award range of $617,000 to $16.4 million, and assistance available from OVW at OVW.STOP@usdoj.gov or 202-307-6026.
Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants are limited to: state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Only the designated state office, pursuant to 28 C.F.R. ยง 90.11, may apply.
